ברוכים הבאים

!Welcome: Bruchim Haba'im
I am a student, teacher, cantorial soloist, guitarist, pharmact technician, writer, CRPS patient, blogger and aspiring rabbi (and a bunch of other things that I don't remember at the moment)! This is a journal of parts of my story as I wrestle with life, Torah, humanity, practice and myself: all along the Jewish Road on which I travel.

I hope you enjoy what you read and see here, and perhaps you'll even learn something to take along the way!

On The Shoah, 2014

Today is Yom HaShoah. The day we remember. We remind ourselves it will never happen again on our watch. Kol hakavod, but we should not need a day to remind us. We should remember every day. Every moment. Because, for 11 million, the day for them to remember will never come. Say a prayer. Join in Kaddish when you can. And work as the words of Hillel remind us: "What is hateful to you do not do do another. The rest is commentary, go and learn it." That is Yom HaShoah. And so we too, shall pray that our world will forever be filled with butterflies, and that humanity shall never again know the words of Pavel Friedmann, that "butterflies don't live in here."
Amen.
